I've been with UK Fast for over a year and the server has been fine with good uptime. My website has recently been redesigned by a web design company who are also with UK Fast. My site is now on their server as it has to integrate with their software.
This means that i have no use for my server, so i've just called them to tell them that i have no use for it so need to cancel the server.
They have informed me that there is a 3 Month cancellation period which is going to cost me nearly £700. I aksed them to justify this and they said that it's admin costs which i think is a pretty pathetic exscuse at trying to rip people off. Surely all they need to do is turn the server off and send me an automated email to tell me that the contract has ended. This is what any other hosting company would do.
Up until this point my experience was good but please bear in mind when you need to end your contract or change to another cheaper company they will charge you ALOT of money for the privaledge. Please also bear in mind that there is a 12 month minimum contract period. So if you have moved to another server after 10 months and are waiting 2 more months to end your contract this will not be possible as you will have to pay another 3 months for their so called "ADMIN COSTS". The actual minimum contract period is therefore 15 months and you will be charged another 3 months whenever you cancel even if you've been a loyal customer of theirs for 10 years. This in my opinion is very bad business practice and just shows a very ugly greedy side to this otherwise reliable hosting company.

Personaly I found customer support quite bad, my questions were answered with questions which may have been important but they way it was done was patronising. I have decided to go elsewhere.
