I have since moved to another provider who offer exactly the same service but for a fraction of the cost. Fasthosts does seem to have a good reputation though and that's what enticed me to sign up in the first place. I have to say that they are pretty average compared to other hosts - I am with Vidahost and they are simply fantastic in comparison. My verdict: Middle of the road with no frills. In my own experience I have found them to be ok. Support is well meant but not always as quick as I would like. One issue that is a little annoying is that there is some script issue with Fasthosts not being able to display custom Wordpress 404 pages.
