A lot is written about Fasthosts and not all is good. In my own experience I have found them to be ok. Support is well meant but not always as quick as I would like.

One issue that is a little annoying is that there is some script issue with Fasthosts not being able to display custom Wordpress 404 pages. Apparently Wordpress are aware of it and are looking into it.

I was with Fasthosts for 2 years and whilst they are pretty good I do think they are fairly average for a web hosting provider. I have since moved to another provider who offer exactly the same service but for a fraction of the cost.

Fasthosts does seem to have a good reputation though and that’s what enticed me to sign up in the first place. I have to say that they are pretty average compared to other hosts – I am with Vidahost and they are simply fantastic in comparison.

My verdict: Middle of the road with no frills.
